My first words to my son were "I have waited so long for you" infact I had 13 yrs to be exact. My daughters first words to him were "Hello Trey, Im your big sister" but ofcourse he wont remember all that. My husbands words were "he's perfect"

I recommend having her make a happy birthday card - My son loved doing it for his brother ... I put it in the hospital room right where everyone could enjoy it ... His first words to his brother turned out to be 'I've been waiting so long for you...' :)

I don't have an answer for you, but I just wanted to say this's an awesome question. :) Good luck helping your daughter decide, and congratulations on your upcoming child!

I love you is a big winner here--If you are religious--God loves you--or some variation there--or something like--Joy--Peace--etc--something that is important to your 7-year old that she would like to share with her sibling--

How sweet!!

Anyways. Ask her to say anything she feels. No matter what, it will be precious. (Even a "Ew.... you're wrinkly" will be treasured by him when he is older lol).

I am wondering what I will say to my nephew when he is born. I dont know why but it is important. (My brother is going to say 'how you doing sweet spirit?)

=) Whatever she says will be beautiful, I'm sure!

Hi baby. My name's (her name) and I'm your big sister. I'm always going to be your big sister no matter what, so you know I'll always be there to help you. We're going to be great friends and have lots of fun together.

Just have her say hi, and introduce herself. She will most likely say something unplanned and spontaneous. You are the first to make me cry tonight.

Aww! That is so sweet! I think she should introduce herself. Like "Hi (his name) I am your big sister (her name)"
