Hello, I want to loose like 60lbs I weigh 220 and I am 5’7’’. I need to do it for my health, I’ve started a diet and now I need to burn calories. How many calories do I need to burn on the treadmill a day to reach my goal by September?

Start out walking for an hour and a half every day, then after a week start jogging at 4mph for 45 minutes every day, then after another week run at 5.5mph for 30 minutes every day, then after two weeks bump it up to 45 minutes, then 60 minutes, add weights and strength training in there throughout the whole thing!

About 500 more each day than you eat.

Ok, in order to lose 57 lbs by Sept 1 of this year, you would have to burn almost 2200 MORE calories than you eat a day. That is an unrealistic goal. 57 lbs of fat is 199,500 calories.

But I think I'm getting my math mixed up somehow. When I go by calories, you need to burn 199,500 calories. When I go by lbs per week (2-3 per week is healthy), I get 22.8 weeks. I'm doing something wrong.

3500 calories = 1 lb of body fat. You want to lose 57 lbs of body fat. You should only lose 2-3 lbs a day. You do the math, I can't.

umm like run on it for a long time about 30 min maybe and hour(which will probably burn at least enough to loose 100 pounds)
