I AM MUSLIM AND I DON'T WANT TO KILL YOU. now, are you going to sterotype me because because of my faith and forget the fact that there are more like me who believe religion is a free will given by GOD? OR will you see me as just another Muslim and automaticly place me in the relem of the terrorists. see the difference between a terrorist of Islam and a Muslim of Islam is this. those who follow the terrorists are hypocrites. i'm sure you have hypocrites in you religion...or non religion (making sure i cover everyone) Islam has a violent side and a non violent side. and Islam isn't the first religion to kill in the name of their faith, just the most recent to do so...of course this is no excuse for murder. at anyone cost. not Arabs and not Americans. not Muslims, Christians, Catholics, Buddist, Hindus, even Atheists. i wish more GOOD Muslims would speak out...accually they do...people just act like they can't listen because we believe differently, yet WE ALL bleed the same color blood.

I AM CHRISTIAN AND I AM NOT SURPRISED THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO KILL ME.
It is really a sad thing that this happens. There is so much anti-Muslim feeling in America... I wish there wasn't!
I guess it's because we fear what we don't understand, but for myself I can say that I have made my effort to understand. I am really interested in learning about it in fact.
I know you are tired of people stereotyping you and in America, the image of Muslim is indeed unjustifiably bad. You are right, those who cause such violence are hypocrites, and just like they are hypocrites, other religions have hypocrites that ruin it for them. For example, the priest scandals... etc. I respect the Muslim belief, and it pleases me to point out the things that the Christian and Muslim beliefs have in common. I see why being stereotyped upsets you. I am a victim of stereotypes myself (more than the common white American I guess, because everyone is stereotyped at some point in their life). Just don't stereotype me about stereotyping you ( hope that makes sense...) :)
Anyway, thanks for your question.

I understand where you are coming from. I am a Christian who believes that all religions are equal and that just because your religion fits you does by no means make it fit everyone. People are so close-minded on the topic of religion because it is so personal to them. If people could just be open-minded and let others be what they want to be, the whole world would be better off. I happen to love religion and I love to learn about all religions and I try not to judge any religion, but it is nearly impossible to never judge so I look at things from various angles before I make a decision and then I always leave room in case I was wrong so I can change my mind.

I wish more people could be more like Gandhi, he called himself a Christian, a Muslim, a Jew and a Hindu. I want to be like that, and what is so wrong about being different? Why can't they all back off and quit trying to convert everyone to their religion? Why do they think theirs is the BEST and ONLY religion? I think everyone who holds a religion ends up in heaven if they are good people. I think it would be hilarious if those who hate all the other religions, if they make it to heaven, have to find out that God loves us all and he thinks all of this religious hatred nonsense is childish.

If God loves everyone and Jesus just wanted us all to love one another then why does everyone hate everyone on the base of their religious practices? Wouldn't that make God madder than not being a Christian?

Sorry about that, I had to get on my soap-box there for a bit. ;)

I wish more Muslims like you would speak out in this open and sincere way and that subsequently more non-Muslims would react to it positively.

As long as they continue being ignorants, they will sterotype all of us.
