I am studying Wicca.
I see all the beauty in the world.
I just don't believe that there was one egomaniac who created it all.

If you didn't notice, there are some pretty screwed up species.
Many species groups share parts, but some are only active in certain individual species. This is proof of evolution right there. Why would a deity make a bunch of species with parts that don't work.
Not to mention that we have countless transitional forms and partial forms. Now if you are a creationist spouting intelligent design, that's fine, believe evolution happened how you want, but if you are one of the few still trying to tout fundamentalist creationism, than I truly feel sorry for you.

Have you read Darwin's Origin of Species? Have you read any substantial literature of evolutionary theory? Or are you just spouting what you believe without investigating the matter? The theory of evolution works - from the predictions it has made about the fossil record to simulations in the lab to germ theory to treatments for cancer and cures for diseases. As has been stated before, chance isn't as random as it appears. ID/creationism has not been proven nor is it persuasive. Michael Behe himself, a leading proponet of ID/creationism and a scientist refuses to do an experiment that would take as little as two years that would either confirm or refute the basic tenets of ID. My opinion and the opinion of others is that he doesn't perform this experiment because he knows it most likely will fail, thus reducing the ID movement to shambles.
Please do some research before you spout ignorant beliefs (which is your right) to others. Do you really want to search for the truth, or are you so complacent, lazy, and scared to do research which may destroy a core belief of your own?

So, the millions of different species that exist are here because a few thousand years ago, Noah built an ark that housed them all for a year?
Modern engineering could still not build such a craft out of steel, never mind out of wood.
Edit: I am not talking about building an ark to the specs given in the Bible, that would have been far too small to do the job.

Being an atheist does not deny the richness or complexity of life on earth. It simply relegates those wonders to a series of natural processes that do not require an intelligent creator.
Science is mind-blowing. It shows us a dazzling world that is very old and in a constant state of change, among billions of stars and galaxies inside a universe built on simple physical laws. No religious book can come close to explaining it in a similar fashion.
What creationists seem to do is cover up the richness of our universe by saying it is 6,000 years old and that all species were set in form from the beginning. They use simple stories to explain huge occurrences of nature, whereas scientists are open to the world.
Evolution is much harder to grasp. It is the opposite of chance because it is built on the constant refinements of natural selection, which is simple in principle but can yield very complex things. The evidence for it is vast.
It may not soothe our egos as human beings, but evolution allows for a richness and development of interrelated lifeforms that creationists won't even admit. They are the ones who peddle much of the misinformation regarding evolution, because they believe that it contradicts their version of god, not the idea of god itself, which evolution takes no position on.
Have you ever been to the Jerry Falwell museum at Liberty University? They peg dinosaur bones as 3,000 years old. Creationists will marvel at the world, but they will never see the universe as broadly or grandly as a biologist or astronomer can, because they're not open to understanding it.

The watchmakers' argument again. The flaw with your logic is any religion can use it against you and their claim would be equally valid. Furthermore another flaw is if you believe all of this requires an endlessly intelligent creator then who created this creator?
The creator could not spring into existence if complexity requires intelligence. Therefore, God is impossible

I see the truth - it's called evolution, that's how such diversity came to be...not chance at all, certainly not some divine being - believing some god did this or that when you can WATCH evolution take place in a petri dish would be denying my intellect and wisdom...

One doesn't have to be religious to see creatures on this earth. There are many different paths for belief. Those who don't believe are not corrupt, nor is there anything wrong with their intellect.

I see we haven't yet reached Chaos theory. Chance isn't as random as we think, time and space aren't separate and there is no way anyone can satisfactorily explain quantum physics and eons of human scientific progression in five sentences.
