Follow up question: would you mail him a year later if you said you would keep in touch initially but didn't because you didn't hear from him..

No, not really. Probably, it's just a toss-off saying, like "see you in the funny papers"

.. in other words, something that sounds a little more cutesy than just plain "see you around" or "keep in touch."

Hi is definately interested but he is handing the option over to you. He is probably afraid of making the next move and he is just sussing out the way you are feeling too. He definately wants to show you he is interested through saying he will be wondering what you are up to....I hope he is a nice guy and that if you are interested that things work out.

Personally, I think it's a sign of DIS-interest. The phone works both ways and if he's really going to wonder what you're up to, he could just as easily himself pick up the phone and call you. Instead, he puts the whole burden for the friendship, relationship -- whatever you want to call it -- on YOU. No involvement on his part. Doesn't get much more dis-interested than that.

Usually not cause most of the time he wants a "Booty Call" cause you never know how many other women he has said that to or how many women are in his cell phone

No. That's playing. If he asks for your number and then calls you, he's interested.
