Is there a way I can make my own computer font?

Is there any software/programs I can buy/download that will let me turn my handwriting into a computer font? This is something I've been wanting to do for a while, and I figured now is a good time to ask.

Here are a few sites to look at for creating your own fonts.

http://www.fontifier.com/ --A quick pay as you go online font creator. Haven't used it but it looks interesting.

http://www.high-logic.com/fontcreator.html -- If you are serious about fonts try this download then the home program is ~$80 more for the full version.

http://fontforge.sourceforge.net/ -- Open source program.
