We like hot pizza, hot meat, hot soups, hot hot hot. Why? Why do we prefer it over cool foods?

a long time ago, humans heated their food so the habbit stuck
if we ended up freezing the germs out of our food we would probably prefer that

My theory is that we prefer hot foods because when the steam escapes the food, it also releases the scent into the air allowing for a more complete taste. Combine that with the texture (a soft warm cookie, versus a room temp hard one) and it seems to taste better (the taste is actually exactly the same, it really just feels & smells better) This is just my opinon however :)

Wow, I didn't think there was a preference, I have worked in a restaurant before as a cook, and you usually eat your food when you get to it, hot or cold. I have eaten food cold all of my life. Haven't any of you been to a picnic???? Hello, cold food there. Cold chicken, cold salads, cold drinks!!! I eat cold food all the time, cold meats, anything cold, I eat them hot too, and warm, I don't think there is anything wrong with them, I think it is just a matter of preference. And there is nothing better than COLD PIZZA for breakfast!!!

Because hot food tastes real good. Cold food is just not hot or warm food so we don't eat it that much.

Our bodies are naturally more receptive to warm or hot
foods as opposed to eating food cold. Then there are
those foods that taste better cold, such as ice cream,
cold milk, etc. Even more, the foods we like warm
or hot, generally taste terrible cold. Maybe that's not
a scientific answer....but it's logical.

nicely, the major reason dogs like human food more advantageous powerful then dogs food is because they devour a similar-old similar-old dogs food daily! they prefer a change, and in the journey that they see people food, nicely it really is something different and also something new to them, so that they verify they could attempt it. So in my case I continuously swap up the dogs food my puppy eats daily, and that way he nonetheless continuously loves it!

because before man discovered fire, he ate everything cold. when he could cook it and eat it hot, it just tasted a lot better

it kinda comfortable to eat warm food. but i can go for ice cream for any season even its winter
