but I can tell the inches are coming off. I am counting calories, adding protein and eating good. How long before I see the scale going lower? She tells me to be patient- but how much longer? I am getting frustraited. :(

it's not the number on the scale that matters. it's the body fat number you need to think about. But if you are real serious about the scale number than work on more running/walking...ect rather than weight lifting and crunches. because muscle weighs three times as much as fat. so ask your personal trainer what to do as well!

If you are losing inches you may not show weight loss as it is turning into muscle mass instead of fat. Weight is merely a number and not something you should be so fixated on. Think more about how much better you look because of the lost inches.

a lot of damage, your body goes into starvation mode when you eat less then 1,200 calories a day. Your body will start off by holding on to all your body fat until its done feeding off of it. by that time your health will be in really bad condition you could end up being hospitalized with a feeding tube. You may not realize that you are anorexic but you defiantly are, if you eat less then 800 calories a day it puts you in that category. If you are smart enough to ask a question like this about your health you should be smart enough to start finding time to eat.

if you can see the inches going away, then don't worry about the weight- focus on the appearance...muscle mass is taking the place of the fat...it weighs more than fat but takes up less space.

I might suggest doing more cario and any weight training be limited to high reps and low weight- if you jsut want to lean up.

Muscles are more dense than fat so they weigh more and you're going to loose fat but not weight. Infact, if you're getting seroius and not just toning you'll probably end up gaining weight. You shouldn't worry about this though. It's not your weight that everyone's going to see and be jealous of, it's your body && how you look =]

if you are loosing the inches round the waist then stop complaining and keep doing what your doing. your obviously buring the fat off and building some muscle. it takes a while really before you see any results so stick with it

Muscle weighs more than fat. Worry about the inches, not the pounds :)

Good luck!
