Use: to play .mov files. But you can also play them in media Player Classic. No, it's not only for Mac. Find the Windows version.

The Quick Time player will allow PC's and Mac's to play video and audio in the Apple .MOV file format.

Don't download the Mac version, there is a Windows version as well just keep looking for it. QuickTime is basically just like Windows Media Player for Mac. It can play all the major file types, but is the only player that can play .mov files, such as Windows Media Player can play all file types but is the only player that can play .wmv or .wma files.

No it's for PC too. It's also a suprisingly powerful video creation/editing tool if you go for the 'pro' version - which is only about $30 I think - I've had a pro version registed for years and use it almost every day.
