Well if you look at Cabela’s what you will find is no age limit.
ATTENTION: Residents of MI, NY, NJ, IL, MA, DE and OH please check your local laws for restrictions before ordering any air rifles or air pistols.
The key words is “local laws”.
As to wal mart my son bought his their and was age12 and only thing needed was parents approval at the time.
Some states and cities may have some rules that must be adhered to, but not where I live.
As to a nation wide requirement, for firearms yes but for air rifles not that I know of.
As to Americans being dumb.
Well all I have to say to that is, we have never been ruled over by a Queen and our population still has our weapon’s to use as we please 24/7.
We Americans are so dumb that our forefathers drafted the very documents that set our countries apart.
As it looks next year you all on the other side of our northern border will have to get permission soon to go p i s s.
That my dumb opinion.

I worked at a Wal-Mart in Arkansas up until about a month ago. You have to be 18 to purchase any kind of weapon or ammo. And YES, Wal-Mart does still sell guns.

Even though they are not technically firearms, most states require you to be 18 to purchase them. And, even in the states that don't require it, retailers like Walmart will often require it on their own. That is one of the reasons you see those "Reserve the right to refuse service to any customer...." signs in places.

You have to be 16. Doesnt matter the location. Wal-Mart requires all buyers to show there drivers licence to prove your older than 16.
