They are charged with defending this country from enemies domestic and foreign. Sadly far too many have traded their honor and that if this country for personal gains. Anyone that thinks Pelosi is doing something other than posturing for 2008 is naive. Hillary is using her time campaigning as are so many others long before the season. The MEDIA is rushing this election in the hope the informed citizens will stay away and the zombie liberals will get a chance to take real control. Look at how liberals have wasted 3 months. Only 21 more to go before they get kicked out.

To assemble as a militia, with muster discipline and munition, and to defend against all enemies foreign and domestic.
To uphold the laws and the constitutions of the federal and state governments.
And to otherwise abide by the law.

To join the Army. No matter who you are, you must help and protect your country, because the government gives you so much. You can't expect to take, if you're not willing to give anything. Taxes aren't enough. Freedom isn't free.

It's the same as our military, because they are extensions of us, and we of them.

Legally -- to not give material aid to any invader.
Practically -- to support local law enforcement and homeland security, including the national guard, as needed.

We are supposed to take up arms and form a military to defend it. Which I have done and have every intention of doing it again if I have to.

To obtain a good education, become responsible tax payers, and be active voters.
To not aid or harbor criminals. To be tough on crime.
