Hydrogen peroxide is Generally Recognised As Safe (GRAS) as an antimicrobial agent, an oxidizing agent and more by the US Food and Drug Administration.[8] Hydrogen peroxide can also be used as a toothpaste when mixed with correct quantities of baking soda and salt.[9] Like benzoyl peroxide, hydrogen peroxide is also sometimes used in the treatment of acne.
But the pro-active people would rather you use the other peroxide, Benzoyl

It does. Peroxide is used to combat the oil your skin is producing. Peroxide will also work on the redness that may be associated with pimples when they become infected. Should your skin be excessively dry, speak to a pharmacist who can recommend a less drying agent.

Yes, but just use a Q tip on the spot itself. I used to use it (peroxide) after I burst them and it worked wonders and is a lot cheaper than face creams / cleansers. Also try to eat less greasy food.

It is way to harsh to use on your skin so don't use it for pimples aka blemishes. Use a facial cleanser made just for that purpose.

It dries your skin, which reduces the oiliness, but it can be very hard on your skin, so be careful. Talk to your doctor.
