I don't have any loose teeth and i'm pretty sure I don't have gum disease but if a person does have loose teeth due to periodontitis is there any way to prevent them from falling out? Like I know that if they're really loose then they have to be pulled out but what if there is only a very slight movement. Somebody asked me this today and I didn't know the answer so I figured I try to find out.

improved oral hygeine can prevent the loss of teeth to a certain point.
I know people who've been in fights that losoened their teeth, but they healed.

I didn't think I had gum disease but I did and didn't know it. My teeth started to get a little loose and I didn't do anything, and they kept getting looser. I was afraid to say anything to my mom about it cuz she'd be upset, but then my teeth started to actually fall out. Once the first one came out they all started to go. I lost a couple front ones in like a month and ended up having them all taken out and I'm only 16. It can be serious if you don't know why they're loose, like from hitting them or whatever.

I'm not a dentist...

But?

If it's loose or it comes completely out?

No...

I believe that you would have to have some of the original tooth left to anchor either the original tooth or a replacement.

My suggestion would be to go see a dentist or a oral surgeon.

Absolutely! Dentistry has come a long way to improving the health and life of teeth. A dentist has several ways to resolve this issue. Please ask your friend to make an appointment.
