during world war two the country was be hind the war 100% they made the sacrifice having things rationed wasn't easy even shoes were rationed my mom had to use one of the other kids ration ticket because I wore out shoes so fast. then they came out with shoes that didn't need a ration ticket. We did not have Bush for a president and president Roosevelt did not give us a lot of lies. We were fighting in a world war.No I don't think people would jump up and down to support rationing This was a war started for the wrong reason
I don;t say they wouldn't ration but they won't feel like they did in world war two and there would be more people not supporting then supporting Bush's war. There isn't very many that support it now.

Much less, then even now, we are upset that our people are dying over this what do you think we are going to be like then? I don't want a draft in the first place I have one that might get to go in if it was for long. NO I don't like that. We should not have went in, I am not sure how we are going to get out? """"This is not a war against Iraq.""" What is it then? Someone else said this to and said it is just some sort of an action???? To me it is a war, if I am wrong please tell me.

I really think it would bring about more support for the war. Right now, the war is very impersonal. It is something we hear about, like a fictional story. It doesn't mean much to many people, at least not much more than a few fleeting thoughts throughout the everyday routine. If all Americans had to make a sacrifice, it would bring the war home, and it would be imperative that it mean something to every American. In that way, the war would become something that everyone would have to support, and many would rise to the challenge.

i don't know about support, but it would be wake up call to all those people who still back bush. I mean all we hear on the news is 20 seconds about more of our soldiers being killed, and then they talk for an hour about Anna nicole smith or some other crap. If people had the war infringe on their everyday lives..maybe they would realize how rediculous it is for us to be over there still and do sometihng about it.

What war are you talking about? This is not a war against Iraq. So what is your point exactly?

USA was dragged to war after its freight ship was bombed by the Nazi Germany. It was an inevitable war and US had to win it or it would have to fight it later when Germany became a Super Power. So it was not supported due to the depth of hardship it brought.

More, because as there not beeing any sources of energy or food in the continent they would go to war to have a place to sleep, food, health, etc.

Much less support -- if that were even possible.

People went along with rationing in WW2 because of the clear threat posed by Germany and Japan.

There just isn't that kind of threat here from Iraq.

Think you mean United Statesians not Americans.

why would Americans in Nicaragua have to ration food to support the United Statesian war effort?
