Smile very nicely and ask" Why do you need to know?" Throws them off every time. I don't think most people realize they are asking a totally rude question. And even if they do, if you ask them to explain why they need to know it just usually gets them so flustered they forgot what they asked in the first place. And if you keep that beautiful smile on your face then there is no way you can get in trouble. Good Luck!!

first of all that's your privacy and nobody should even ask such a thing at work. You don't have to answer to that . You are at work and should be professional respected .and politely that you are you can say" I don't know in what part of my time I have given you the confidence to ask me personal questions I will really appreciated if you don't touch this topic again. Thank you. And that's all and she will get the hint and not only that but she will feel ashamed and won't bother with desperate questions again . You don't have to justify yourself to anyone, If you want you can even reported to your boss because it is a form of sexual harassment and say you felt violated with this question. This can get you stressed and can make you uncomfortable .People have gone to court for matters like this and they will be on your side never know they might even pay you for getting time off to release stress get it? good luck!

You see her at work everyday, that does not entitle her to know every aspect of your personal life. It's none of her business, and asking it in a very public place of business is extremely inappropriate. And you should tell her exactly that.
Then avoid her. If she continues to spread rumors or ask inappropriate questions about your private life, then report her to your boss and your company's human resources dept. director.

You needn't say a single word.
You turn your face to her, look her in the eye, raise one eyebrow, then turn back to your work without a word.
She's being extremely unprofessional and asking for trouble.

I'd probably have burst out laughing, but then I'm not easily insulted. I'd have asked her why she thought such a thing. People get the weirdest ideas sometimes, I usually think that's pretty amusing.

Your answer was best. If you thought of something clever, or I had suggested something rude and sarcastic, you might have gotten in trouble. LOL

you're right, that was rude.

so the next time someone is rude enough to ask you if you slept with someone, give them a bit of sass and say "not a wink".

I would say " I do not wish to discuss my personal life at work, please do not ask me these inappropriate questions in the future, or I will have to go to HR about it. Good Day! ,,,,I said Good Day!!"
