haha Very thoughtful to have not thought of this until the day before... i don't know i would say it needs to come from Your heart.. not the people here on yahoo answers... cook him a nice dinner or something.. or get him something very thoughtful that would Mean a lot to him.. like that has to do with an inside joke or shared moment or something, do something that shows you Really know him. take him out for the day and do something special for him. maybe take him to the place you guys had your first date. make him a mixed cd of all his favorite songs, or like lovey songs and then go to a park and dance to them from your car stereo out in a parking lot (my friend did this whole thing having to do with that and it was Very cute) i dont' know though.. in the end You need to decide anyway.. good luck!

how long? the more serious the more you are obligated to buy him something if not long card and a gift certificate unless he is one really hung up on his birthdays. if the are a big deal to him something more personal or a inside joke item is always good. good luck
