Once my girl friend has touched one boys hand when he was very upset on the final day of their "communication class". He was about to cry. And she felt sad/sorry abt him and touched hands.
Any psychological explanation??

Your girlfriend has a very caring nature and is in touch with others peoples feelings. It was a very kind and thoughtful thing to do.
