What you mean is an ALARM, not a keyless entry system. Just go to any alarm supplier, or do your research over the internet to find one that suits your budget and needs, since they vary widely in price.

Keyless entry system or an alarm?
1) No one is going to steal a 97 taurus. It is not on the most stolen car list on any state. (check the internet for the cars that are).
2) If you want a keyless entry/keypad, you have to go to a dealer.

You can get a Keyless entry kit from you Ford dealer.Basically installs like a auto start. They are made for Ford by Code Alarm They have a web site for applications.

If you have power locks, it's about 250 installed, and it's an ALARM, not keyless entry! (though it'll do both)
If you don't, than there's going to be a problem.

Forget it. It is wired into the car, and there are stampings in the door for the entry keypad.
