I've read that mixing lemon juice with water and spraying it on your hair while out in the sun makes your hair look lighter - is this true?

Yes, but it takes a long time to get results.. a few weeks. This is how I highlighted my hair when I was younger and not allowed to use any kind of chemicals on my hair. I had a few blond streaks in my bangs as a result and I loved it!! Use straight lemon juice, forget the water.... but make sure you wash and condition your hair right afterwards otherwise it will dry out! And.. if you are out in the sun.. use a sunscreen.. spf of at least 15, k? : ) You'll thank me when your 30 years old and wrinkle free!

yes it is and its better than the dyes u buy at a store becuase the lemon juice and the sun are the only things that'll give u the perfect natural highlights so no guess work on how ur hair will turn out. it'll give u a natural sun kissed color. good luck!

yes it is true but sometimes it can make your hair dryout and look limp if you dont want that to happen you can use "Sun In" this is a spray that you can buy at a drugstore and it gives you natural highlights without the side effects of lemon juice:]]

yes. but my hair gets naturally high lighted in the sun without lemon juice. heres another hair tip...put a cup of vinegar on your hair while in the shower and itll get you smoother hair. itll smell like vinegar for about 15 minutes but the after results are fabulous.

Yes, but all liquids sprayed on your hair and left to dry in the sun will lighten it eventually.
