I don't have the manual, and I can't find the feature in the camera's menu.

On my old Olympus camera (D-520 zoom) there was a command to convert pictures to black and white in playback mode, on one of the edit menus, it also had sepia and resize options, so yours might have something similar.

Or you can convert them to black and white on your computer, most grpahics editing software should let you do that.

undercolteal got here first and i would say he is right. Its best to take the photos in color on the camera then use what is called post-processing to remove the color information from the photographs. Many graphics editing suites can do this and you dont have to pay a fortune for them. GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a free program that will do many of the advanced image editing that expensive programs like Photoshop will do.

Shoot them in color and convert them with any photo editing software.

download ifranview from download.com... its free and will alter your images...
