Isn't that saying, 'do as I say, not as I do'?

One example is:
Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

God is omnipotent. He can do whatever he friggin' pleases. You have to admit, that would be pretty sweet. I would totally be all, 'hey, I am going to set an arbitrary list of rules for people to follow, contradict all of them in the Holy Scriptures, and hope it totally screwed the world up'.

Or maybe I would just magick up a PS4.

Who could say?

[edit]: Seriously, though, I read a great book once which reasoned that whatever God did was holy and good, thus anything he does becomes holy. So, it is totally not good to kill the innocent, but if you created a planet which, through your own fault, became evil, it is great just to create a flood, drown them all, and start again.

Where are you getting your information that God doesn't have to follow the 10 commandments. God/Jesus does all and follow's all that is in the Bibles. I do not believe something someone says just because someone types it in a question form.

I don't understand why you say that?

God is God and can do what He pleases but He NEVER can deny Himself. He cannot tell a lie, it would completely against His nature. He does reserve the right to excersice judgement on all. Not only does He give the commandments, He is also the one who inforces them. What good is law without inforcement?

who said God didn't honor his father and mother? And he does follow the 10 commandments.

what is that He does not follow?

if you knew the character of God - Honor thy mother and father doesn't make sense - He doesnt have a mother and father - Jesus has an earthly mother but God the Father is the Father of us all and does not have a Father

whats the next example

God is ompnipotent and omnipresent, and His ways are not our ways. We will never understand God fully, and our finit minds are nothing compared to His Infinite mind. He never broke the Ten Com. when He walked this earth as Jesus.

hahaha! these answers so far are pretty funny. I'd say god thinks we dont suffer. Its like "i'm going to make some clones of other people, and then i will give them the rules or they will be killed".

Your logic is flawed. Majorly flawed. God DOES follow His own commandments as evidenced by the life of Jesus Christ who NEVER sinned and was crucified FOR YOUR SINS. Wake up bud, you're losing it.

A better question might follow as:

Is there any laws of man that have been broken by men?
