If you go to court to fight a speeding ticket, and the cop doesnt show up, is our case dismissed, and record cleared of that ticket? Also, if you show up, and then the cop is there, do you have a chance to not fight it, and take traffic school? Also, last time I wanted to fight a ticket, he showed up, but he dismissed all the fines he gave that day, and I got a check that gave me back the payment I made, so is that also dismissed?

Sounds like you got lucky last time. First of all--stop speeding! It's not worth it! Second of all--go to traffic court, plead for mercy and tell them that you won't do it again and cross your fingers. I believe the last one is already dismissed if he gave you your money back.
