you can call the doctors office and they should have an emergency number that you can call. not that it's an emergency, but at least they can tell you what to do until monday. and no, your teeth will not go back in a matter of 2 days. it takes months to move teeth.

Your teeth won't change positions in the short time that it will take for you to go back in to see your orthodontist and have it re-cemented.

Let me say this, the bracket shouldn't have come off while you were eating french fries, unless it had a cement failure, or something "else" loosened it. So it's probably not you fault if you've been careful. They won't fuss at you, this happens sometimes so don't worry.

For now it should be fine with just the elastic holding it on the arch wire. It shouldn't fall off and choke you unless the wire isn't attached to any molar bands. If it isn't attached to the molars then you should ask your parents to snip it at the next tooth that is attached so it won't stick you. But this is only if the arch wire "ISN'T" attached to the molars and is loose or dangling now. They can use a wire cutter to do this with, and it won't hurt.

I don't know what they do to make those fries so crispy, but me and my puppies love them too. Hope I've been of some help and don't worry, they have at least one patient a week or more that this happens with. Good luck!

Additional info: It shouldn't choke you if it's still attached to the wire and the wire is attached to other teeth. If it can slip off the wire, take it off by sliding it out the back side of the arch wire, then have your parents clip the wire close to the next tooth that is attached.

slide it off your self, or have a family member help you cut the rubber band that holds the wire to the brace. If it isn't sliding on the wire , you aren't going to swallow it. They will remove a oring ( the rubber band thing) or two lift the wire away, rebond the bracket to your tooth.
If you don't already know- cut up everything. Don't bite into a hamburger, or a Subway sandwich, or anything that big. If it crunches when you eat it, it's too hard. Eat pringles, not Doritos, do not eat nuts, so no snicker's, or skittles, or any hard candy. If you must, put it in a ttowel and it with a hammer until it is slivered. The teeth won't move that much in a day or two, and they will go back just as fast if do move. Just make yourself comfortable. If you need to not get poked by the wire , have your mom cut it by the braces that is stillon your tooth with a wire cutter. If that all sounds too dangerous, just but a piece of licoris on the sharp end. Licoresce is not on your diet either. LOL Usually it knocked it off with too big of bite, and the french fry was just the last straw, not what actually broke it. Again cut up everything, then you are putting it in a different place to chew than when you just bite it off.

the in undemanding words bracket i have damaged replaced right into a back hook one and they did not care about it. It replaced into easily one of in undemanding words 2 they could get on considering that my tooth are so tiny. seems i did not favor it in the first position because they have no longer began to change it. call them first. enable them know. Ask what to do. and quit eating the incorrect stuff. that's going to extend your therapy, it may do everlasting damage for your tooth, and also you or your dad and mom can ought to pay more beneficial. I pay $152 in line with appointment out of my personal pocket, now to not practice the $760 down fee. This junk is costly. I guard it. I received't deliberately screw myself into paying more beneficial for my personal stupidity and stubbornness. in case your dad and mom were paying, possibly they ought to turn the bill over to you and note in case you develop into more beneficial careful. ;)

Wait until you go to your orthodontist. He will just glue it back on. This happened to me when I had braces.
