Nothing more than the breed of the hen that laid them.
Nutritionally, they are identical.

It was my understanding that (generally speaking), brown eggs are from local farms. Also, it appears that cage-free hens (or free range hens) give us brown eggs as well.
I always thought that an egg was an egg (hen-wise). But after googling this a bit, I am totally confused.

"White vs. Brown and Other Color Issues
Actually, the only difference between these eggs is the color of the shell. The species of the mother hen determines whether the egg will be white or brown. What the hen eats, though, determines the color of the yolk. Dark yellow yolks indicate diets of corn and alfalfa, while pale yellow yolks point to wheat. When hens enjoy white cornmeal, marigold petals liven up their menu to give their yolks a splash of sunshine. The color of the yolk does not indicate freshness, quality, or nutritional value. "

So, in short, thx to your question, I have learned something. BTW, I am originally from New Hampshire.
Other than color and the hens that lay the eggs, there is little difference if any.

Brown eggs, acctually have a higher amount of protein, however the amino acid base does not really grant much of an extra advantage, just a slightly closer bond in finger nails making them look less like a grid board over time.

Just the price!! Brown eggs are more cosmetically soothing so they feel it necessary to charge a ridiculous price! Nutritionally, there is not a darn difference.

Nothing. The egg colour has to do with the pigment levels of the chicken, and which pigments are present. My mother in law had a chicken that laid green eggs. It also has to do with the breed of chicken, too. The insides of the eggs are completely the same, nutritionally.

generally the brown eggs are a little bit bigger in size, and that's pretty much the only difference, personally i think the brown eggs are a little more dense in texture

Actually there is no difference between them except the colour. It's just an
excuse for people to charge more for the brown. I saw that on TV. Does that
answer your question alright?

There is no difference in taste, texture or size...just color,
I've raised chickens for years, have eaten both colors regularly and have found nothing different.
Martha Stewert has said the same.
