I want to get a doberman and would like to hear what other people's opions are of them.

I think they are gorgeous. So graceful, powerful and sleek. High performance all the way!
However, I'm a little scared of them because of the rumors about them going crazy after the age of 7. I've heard they are unstable dogs. Hopefully, that's not true, but it makes me nervous.
I definitely like the breed though.

I love Dobies. I owned one years ago. They are a very loyal and yet, loving dog. They are also protectors and made me feel very safe.
Years ago, Dobermans had the same reputation as Pitt Bulls have today, but that is no longer true. They have bred them so they are not nearly as aggressive as they used to be. GREAT DOGS! I loved my Doberman so much, that years I had to get a Min Pin! I know they are not related in any way but in appearance, but she reminded me of my Doberman.

I've had a couple of Dobermans...they are great with kids, they're smart, and they're loyal. And they're SO cute as puppies!
The last one I had was Heidi, when I was a teenager. She loved getting under the covers and sleeping with me at night.

I love them because big dogs are awesome. I would rather get a min-pin tho.
