Green, Yellow, Blue and Red were the four colors on the special edition Beetles that they only made via Web orders. VW did not produce these cars for dealership stock.
Due to this there is no accurate record of how many were produced, but I am sure if you wrote to VWoA they would be happy to give you a figure.

If I remember right, it was around 2000 each of 4 limited edition colors available in '01. There was the Isotope green, vapor blue, and 2 others I don't remember (maybe yellow and something else? just not sure).

probably 2000. They said the said about my car, only 2000 but i have a 2003, Chromaflair Beetle when I bought it.

finding production numbers of a car is very very difficult. the only place youll really be able to find that is if you contact VW.
