He is a male and he has been Neutered but is totally out of character!

I have a cat that howls at the moon. What I've learned to do is go for walks with him. This helps the mind slow down into a relax mode. The cat howls to communicate with friends, it's there version of a phone. If this does not work try to calm your cat and spend some bonding time with him/her.

your cat is probably in heat and is asking for a mate. If you don't want her to have kittens make an appointment with the vet to get her spayed.On the other hand...if you want her to have kittens and want her to stop howling at the moon, get her a pretty male cat so they could mate to have kittens! It will stop her from howling and anyway you can buy her a free male kitten!

What sex is your cat, do you let it outside? If it's a female cat and you are letting it out then it could be calling out for male cats depending on it's age. Most animals are not as shy as humans when it comes to things that Mommies and daddies do behind their closed bedroom door.

Take a video of him and submit to YuTube... make us all laugh. Then don't forget to shut your blinds when you're ready to go to bed.

Take him to the vet. Find out if he is part wolf. Last but not least, get him a buddy.
