For some it can be very painful, for others just a little uncomfortable. Depends if their hymen is intact (if it is then their partner must "break" it which can cause the pain)

Often the first times, when they're "tightest" also most apt to do it (and have it done to them) inexpertly.

Less so later on.

It's a big reason why teen sex is commonly disappointing.

It's not a big reason why married sex is commonly disappointing.
