I always think carefully before I answer any question involving they or them. It usually assumes unfair or illogical finger pointing which leaves both side in a stalemate. It's as annoying as the person who answers a question with "Because I say so!". Christian bashing seems as popular as atheist bashing, and to what end? Why is it never enough to know that we are Americans?

So, we're not entitled to an opinion? It's only the unbelieving world that has a place at the table?
We have been called to be both salt and light in our world. (Matthew 5:13-14) In biblical times (even as recently as the last century) salt was used as a preservative. We are called to prevent the decay of society, pointing to God's standard, which is found in the Bible.
Light illuminates the darkness. We are called to shine the light of biblical truth on the unbelieving world.
Further, I think your comment "we all know what their book says better than they do half the time..." is rather broad and arrogant. I find that most unbelievers have never read the Bible, in whole or in part, and merely parrot what others say about it.

The "Do you agree questions" tend to bother me at times too. I do not know why "we U. S. Americans" would ask this type of questions. It may have to do with our upbringing or something. I know that our schools seem to be a place of unrest at times and the occupants are not aloways happy to be there. In some parts of the world the students would be happy to get a free public schooling. I believe that a number of our citizens seem to think that reading and studying the Bible means to go to church once per week and listen to part of the preacher's sermon. This is NOT the way to study the BIBLE in my opinion. I seem to be ranting also. I am sorry. Have a great evening and a wonderful LORD's DAY!
Thanks,
Eds

Could we ask also why American non-Christians think they can hold High Court on ever world issue? Everybody wants to have an opinion of some sort on most things. You don't happen to like Christianity, or Christians, so any opinion coming from Christians, especially if it is different form yours, is obnoxious to you.
You draw the conclusions from that (ah, those narrow-minded Christians!)

Americans period feel they are the high court. Why do movie stars act like they know stuff? Those standing in the way of troops and what not. It is not just Christians.
I do agree that many Christians are in need of scripture before they try to argue their point because if not the argument is usually...because God says so. That makes us look bad and helps others secure their high ground over us.

They don't. Ever heard of the Vatican? I'm informed they are the worst regarding holding court over every world issue.

Uhhh, I think you put too much emphasis on what we "American Christians" think. We offer an opinion and you call it "high court" lol.

Wow, I thought this was an open forum...you need to learn to be tolerant! Not everyone thinks like you. Some of us have morals.

Why don't people vote against them? You do vote, don't you? Less than forty percent of Americans do.
