I agree with you. I am a single mom of three boys. I have been told directly by men that they will not date me because of that!! The boys are a "liability" because guys know that the boys come first in my life.
Well, I figure that any guy who thinks like THAT is not worth my time...and I agree that you may be facing the same problem. People like that are self centered and want to be the center of a relationship...too smothering and jealous to realize priorities. You are better off alone than compromising yourself.
Have faith that the right person will come along when you least expect it.

You just haven't found the right girl. That's all . They are out there. My husband was a single dad when I met him. I was a single mom also. Maybe you should try to date someone who has children also, then, they would understand you wanting to put your daughter first. Single women just really don't get that concept yet until they have their own kids.

It gets easier to meet people when your girl gets in school. Lots of women want to be number one, and don't want to be partial custody step moms, which is their choice. You need to meet more family oriented women in organizations like PTA, Campfire, playgroups, Parents Without Partners, etc. This is where you will find someone who can cherish your daughter as much as you do.

Have you tried E-Harmony or Match.com, where you can read people's profiles and see if you can find someone with the same values as yourself, similar interests, and has a child about the same age as yours? It might be worth a try.

Well blaine i feel for you, but what happened to the MOM?? i know sometimes our too proud to give a damn attitude can rip apart families, friendships, relationships, but children should not grow up in broken families. Idealy you'd want your kids to grow up with a mom and a dad but if your serial dating is coming to a dead end then try match.com :))
