Christians, Jews, am I evil?

Question

To both:
Am I evil for not being christians?

Why is it my fault that i wasn't born into a christian family?

WHy will god puniish me for being born into a muslim family?


To jews only:
Why are you the chosen people, and the rest are not, isn't that racist and hateful against others, why is it our fault we warent born jewish?

You are sinful as are all of humanity since Adam. The only exception is Jesus Christ who is sinless.

No one is faulting you for not being born into a Christian family and neither are you punished for being born in a Muslim family. Being born into a Christian family does not automatically means you are saved. But what you do with the message of the Gospel will determine whether you end up on God's pleasure or face His wrath.

As for the Jews only, they are chosen because God is faithful to their ancestor Abraham. God was fulfilling His promise to Abraham, and not because his descendants are so worthy. But for people to attack the Jewish people for being Jewish, now that is really a racist and hateful behavior!

I don't think you evil as in, "oh, you demon i hate you!" Regardless of your religion, race, sex, sexual orentaton, or anything i still have respect and love for you as a person. Actually one of my BESTEST FRIENDS is a muslim. We get along fine and i believe she is a great person. As for the subject of you going to hell. .that isn't my decision. That's God's. I have no right (nor anyone else) to say you will burn in Hell. God won't punish you for being born into a Muslim family becauseyou can change. That is the important part - changing and the choice.

Jews are the "chosen" people because the Bible says that somewhere. I'm not sure where. I'm not Jewish and i know little about their beliefs so i can't help you much there.

Yes, you are evil in the sense that you are corruptible just as the Jews or any other human being. God chose the Jews because he made a covenant with Abraham. Abraham's first son was born out of wedlock and did not receive the promise but became the father of the Arabs. His second son born of his old wife as God had promised became the father of the Jews. God will judge you according to your conscience if you are not a Christian. You may not have been raised into a Christian family but you are welcomed in by adoption.

Technically evil means morally wrong or bad, immoral or wicked. So I don't think you can BE evil, only do evil things. Mainly because you are a human, endowed with a precious soul, therefore you cannot be completely evil. I guess in my opinion, only the devil can actually BE evil.

But are you evil for not being Christian? Oh my goodness, no! Not being Christian does not make you evil in any way. Nor will God punish you for being born to a Muslim family.

God loves you very much, He wants the best for you, not the evil :)

I'm not a Jew as you say. Ok first part no I do not think you are evil just misinformed. Just because you come from a family that didn't bother to teach you about God does not make you evil. God knows you even if you don't know him. If you feel you would like to know him and that idea or feeling is pushing at you. All you have to do is ask him guide you ask of him for understanding of his word. Buy a Bible if you don't have one. You can even get one at those 99 cents stores if you lack money. Start by reading it. Seek a church you feel comfortable in. That way you can hear about God and his plan for us. No you are not evil I feel you retrying to understand and that is alot a whole lot. God be with you and help you understand what you seek.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, so in essence all are evil. But, once we hear the Gospel and respond and accept Jesus we become a new creature.

So, no matter where you were born you have a responsibility for the knowledge you possess. It seems to me you know a great deal and are presently rejecting it.


While I am not Jewish I will say this about the chosen people. God chose them and they had no choice in the matter. It is a wonder because of their constant disbelief, but I wonder if God chose them because they were so worthless. By saving them and working through them he truly proved his power and grace.

Also, if you look at the flood God destroyed all but Noah and his family. So, we all had an equal opportunity to be faithful to God. But, as you know, we did not.

It was also because of Abraham. He believed God and God credited it to him as righteousness. The faith of one and a covenant was born. Later Christ started a new covenant that is open to all no matter birth and like Abraham of old all it takes it believing.

God is not going to punish you for being born into a muslim family, You see, He is giving you a chance and a choice now. Find you a private place some where and tell Jesus that you believe He is the Christ and ask Him to save you and come into your heart.

You do not have to be born Christian to become a Christian. You can always convert. Christ came to bring the wolrd to him. It is your choice.

I am not a Jew but they are God's chosen because chose them to reveal his miracles to the rest of the world and to prepare the path towards salvation through Christ who was a Jew. No it is not racist or hateful. God does not hate other people nor does His word teach hate. And anyone can become Jewish. It is a religion not a race.

You got it wrong. You can't be evil because you were born into a religion. Evil is an acquired taste.

No one's a chosen people. We're all in the same lifeboat together. Sooner or later we will learn to row together or go down with the ship.

2. No, God would not punish you for that unless you are already punished for not seeking the truth.
3. No, but it is a dangerous thing to follow religion instead of Jesus. esus is the way and the truth and the life, and no one will enter to the Father's house except through Him. : )
