Cardio equals abs; working abs while overweight can make your stomach look fat.....Cardio is the way to go then may I suggest a ab lounge....If your only ike 10 to 15 pounds over weight go for the ab workout; it makes your stomach go in instead of out; but if you have alot of fat on your stomach the ab muscles will grow and your stomach will look fatter.

If you have anything that jiggles on your stomach, then this will need to be exercised away. You can tone the ab muscles underneath but until the fat is gone on top you won't be able to see the toned muscle, does this make sense? One will need to lose weight and tone the abs at the same time. If you're thin, just do exercises to tone the abs. It has to do with diet too-

your abs will never show if you have a little extra padding on your tum. in essence to get awesome abs you do need to do alot of excercise localized on your stomach( crunches) but if you are over weight you may need to loose a little to be able to see the effects of all your hard work.
