The average person gets 2-4 colds per year. (Even though I haven't had one in about 2 years!) But if you look at my case, not getting sick in a long time, there is cases of the other extreme. For example; some people get sick 6-8 times a year.

The average number of colds the population gets is between three to five plus per year. There are too many factors that go into getting a cold. Someone who has a cold and doesn't cover his or her mouth spews enough germs for someone to pick up the cold and then it is passed from one person to
another. Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough, and wash you hands several times a day.Keep your hands away from your mouth, nose and eyes and chances are you will limit the number of times you get a cold.

Just fifty years ago most people relied on family remedies to remain healthy . Now the needed foods are well hidden from our knowledge as the medical world bamboozles us. Here are some foods you need to explore. Wheat seed, molasses, rock salt, uncooked yogurt and citrus skin tea. Knowledge of where to buy them is required as well as how to use them. There are many more rare foods called herbs but that is for later after the basics. There is always the possibility of polluted air in the home from sewer gas as a result of wrong venting of the system. After you have asked all the grandmothers who are still healthy go to a doctor and take your chances. You are responsible to keep yourself healthy and to learn as required in your place of dwelling.

Honestly, because you are taking enough care with hygiene. Most people get 1-2 colds a year, but more than that and you aren't doing enough to prevent catching them. Washing your hands is the #1 way to prevent viruses. That and never touching your eyes, nose or mouth with your hands. That's how you get these viruses. You touch something that has germs on it then you touch your face.

This condition can be generated by some factors like:
_Fragile physical (poor nutrition, lack of exercises).
_Exposing voluntarily or involuntarily to harsh condition (dressing improperly, stay too long in cold or going from hot to cold places).
_Improperly habitat of living or work (spaces where sun razes are not going in, create unhealthy habitats for living and working, affecting negatively the health of sensitive people).
_Exposure to viral infections (been in contact or staying to close to sick people)
_Weakened immune system (many things disturb immune system)

Make sure you have a well balanced diet...you get enough sleep and exercise and you dress warmly during the winter months...vitamin C is excellent to prevent colds. I wish you a healthy new start and a sickless winter.

I think you might have a week immune system. My little sister always used to get the vomits on Saturdays and finally stopped after taking vitamins and ate healthy. Also if you have animals REMEMBER to wash your hands before you eat cause she always gets sick if she doesnt wash her hands.
