My aunt just had one last week. Her symptoms were pain in her leg when standing, her leg swelled up 3 times the normal size (she said), the leg's skin color turned pink/red, the skin on that leg was warm to the touch. She couldn't tell where the clot was, but went to the emergency room and they found the clot using a doppler ultrasound machine. DVT's are life threatening and require immediate medical intervention.

I have 3 instances of DVT and even PE (pulmonary Embolism). It is imperative to seek immediate medical attention if you are experiencing pain, warmth, or bruising. I only experienced pain and had no explanation why. Get help, a clot can break loose from movement and can cause a heart attack or stroke. DVT is no laughing matter and is a matter of life and death. Please call a nurse or proceed to the nearest emergency room. God Bless!+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
