no, a mirror should not face a window. why would you want it to face the window? when chi comes in through the window, it will be reflected back outside - making your house difficult to hold chi.

have you gone to a modern american house, where there are big doors, windows and mirrors. to them, this is letting the outside into the house. but such house cannot hold chi, it just oozes out.

Mirrors do two things. They reflect and deflect light. In Feng Shui terms, light is a form of chi, or earth energy. To have good Feng Shui a property needs to have sufficient amount of chi entering the property. Chi enters the property through windows and doorways. By having a mirror directly in front of the window or facing a window, you are deflecting or keep chi from entering the room. As a general rule, Feng Shui practitioners do not advise have a mirror facing windows and doorways. This is because chi needs to enter the property. However, there are always expections to the general rule. For example, if there is an abundance of light in the room from other sources, such as a skylight or very large windows. Perhaps there is a posion arrows, any sharp objects, pointed directly at the window, the mirror can deflect the sharp objects energy. Good luck.

I don't practice Feng Shui but from an interior redesign perspective: a mirror should always be placed to reflect something beautiful - like a view or candlelight. So if your window view is not the brick from the building next to you, go for it.

Mirrors don't like windows. They get glass envy.
Also, don't try to hang a mirror over a window --the glass braks when trying to put a nail in it to hang the mirror.
