If there is anyone out there that can help me it would be pretty much a life saver. My brother is one of those guys that always had a hard time growing up. From the first couple of years in grade school to when he finaly called it quits in high school he had always been in special classes. Doctors told my parents that he was one of those kids that were slow but very energetic. They told my parents that when he was 12 his mined was only that of a 6 year old. Anyways my brother is a smart guy hes just been pushed along with out the help he really needed. My parents couldnt afford for him to go to the right school so he just carried on in our over populated public school system in decatur georgia. Now my brother is calling me from jail crying for me to get him out and to help him find the help he needs. My mother told me tonight that she found a suicide note that he wrote. I need to get him help before i loose him. If theres anyone that can help please respond

you all need to have a long talk and agree on the kind of help he needs. remember that he can not feel as if he's being forced to get help, he also has to feel he needs it and it's the right thing for him to do. if he has s drug problem a rehabilitation center will be the 1st place he needs to visit, but try and get him where he lives there through out his treatment instead of him having the option to go when he wants. after he successfully completes his program then the next step is a program that can help him with his mental problem.

You need to stage an intervention. His family and friends need to confront him about his problem and demand that he get help. Have a rehab center lined up for him. If this doesn't work, he will hit rock bottom if he hasn't done so already.

if he wants the help you can help him see if there is a crisis center and see if he'll put himself in talk to counselors and other professionals to find out the extent of his problems
