Yes you should ask her out, ask her to go for a little walk and then ask her is she would be interested in going on a date with you and explain you didn't want to ask in front of everyone.

you can take her out to eat at a really nice restaurant and take her for a walk in the park pop the question and if she say's yes then take her to eat ice cream if she says no then give her dark chocolates it will let her know how bitter she is lol j/k
