we were in the middle of this conversation and then i said something and he goes "my parents would like you"

erm, what? what does he mean?

One of two things... that his parents would like you, or that HE does. Probably him though. He just wants to see your reaction as a way of finding out if you like him too. If you do, be a little more flirty, and less subtle, but not too open as mystery is always good. If you don't like him, then be open about him being "your buddy" and "he's such a pal". Make it known that you see him like a brother. Hope this helps.

coming from a guy, if i said that, that could be bad. (i dont like my parents all that much, if at all)
girls tend to over-analyze things way too much. unless a girl does something extremely obvious or just straight out says that she is interested, a guy wont notice. as a result, guys only let on thier feelings in that way.
not saying you should lose all hope, but dont get that excited

Well if you are in or want a relationship with this guy you would be better off asking him what he means. Guessing or assuming will get you in trouble. If you want to know go straight to the source.
