I have 1 16ounce box of dried elbow macaroni, 1 large can (19ounces) of chick peas, 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1 12 ounce can or ready to eat Tehina, 1 28 ounce can of organic whole peeled tomatos, I 16 ounce bag of Black Japonica rice, 1 can of pork and beans, 1 can of black beans, 1 can of hormel Chili.1 can of carrots, a box of Bisquick, Left over ham in the fridge from a spiral ham, and 1 can of premium cut chicken chunks packed in water, and 1 can of artichokes 1/2 can of plain tomato sauce in the fridge, half a bottle of salsa (those bulk sized things) and a large bottle of "Frank's Red Hot buffalo wings hot sauce" leftover from the superbowl

AND THAT"S ALL I HAVE IN THE HOUSE - and I'm snowed in - so there is NO possbile way for me to get to the store to buy anything else. (I do have a TON of herbs and spices)

Can someone make a recipe out of all or some of the items mentioned - and please tell me how to make it - I'm a terrible cook! Thanks for your help.

Lol! I guess I should have mentioned what condiments I have: minced fresh garlic, but not onion. Italian and Ranch dressing. Steak sauce, wostershire sauce, and HP curry sauce. Oh - I found a jar of jaleopeno's in the back of the fridge. Also, have 10 different types of mustard, but no ketchup. Oliveoil and Sunflower oil.

Ok. This should be fun! Hope you're not snowed in alone and are mostly enjoying yourself!

1) Boil macaroni according to package directions. Rinse in cold water and Drain well.
2) Chip up about 1 1/2 cups of the leftover ham, very small
3) Drain diced tomatoes
4) Drain Black Beans, use 1/2 can

Mix together well. I'd add some italian dressing if you have it (you don't mention any condiments, but we usually have some about!). (Serve cold)

Read the bisquick box for a bread recipe, see if you have what you need. Research internet for any substitutions for ingredients you don't have.

Serve the bread and pasta dish together. (heavy on carbs I know).

Now, with your rice, I don't know that brand/type, so this may be crazy, but try cooking rice, adding 1/2 cup of salsa per cup of rice and mixing chicken in with it. Heat together in oven until warmed through (maybe 20-30 minutes on about 350)

Pork and beans become "baked beans" with Worschertershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, onions and I sometimes cheat by cooking on stove top instead of oven.

Season carrots with a little butter, serve on side of one of your dishes, are usually good with ham. To give ham a bit of different flavor, maybe fry lightly on top of stove. It would be good served with drop biscuits and carrots!

Make yourself a killer chicken soup it should last for about 3 days atleast.

Use the macaroni, ham, chicken, rice, black beans, carrots,
tomatoes, diced and the peeled, lots of garlic and make some dumplings using the bisquick and water just make thin biscuit mix and when the soup is done cooking and it is boiling add your dumplings and cook until they rise and are fluffy. Remember the dumplings are going to soak up some of the liquid so make sure you make the soup with some extra water and well you have spices so go nuts I would recommend basil, oregano, and some rosemary, and thyme and of course blk.pepper and course salt or sea salt is nicier then regular table salt if you have it. Season to taste with some of the hot sauce and enjoy.
Best to cook the soup and then add the cooked macaroni and rice to the soup you want the pasta and rice to have some bite to them not all mushy.
Another tip you probably know the longer you simmer the soup the more flavors it will bring out especially when your using dry herbs and spices.

Use the biggest pot you have you can always freeze stuff.

I have made a pretty good meal with alot less.

You've got enough options there for a banquet!

You could make a great casserole out of the Hormel chili, half of the can of whole tomatoes, a cup or two of cooked macaroni, a dash or two of salsa, and the black beans. Just mix them together and plunk them in a 350 degree oven until bubbly. Make some biscuits with the Bisquick, heat up the carrots for a side dish, and enjoy.

Or add some ham chunks to the pork and beans, along with a cup of cooked rice and a little tomato sauce. Heat on the stove or in the oven until warm.
It's surprisingly tasty and very quick to make.

Finally, you could make a kind of chicken pot pie. Drain the carrots and add them to the chicken chunks, then season with garlic and onion powder, as well as a little salt and pepper. Thicken the liquid from the chicken package with a little flour and add to the veggie mix. (If you have no flour, mash some chick peas and add them to the liquid. It works!)

Make up some Bisquick according to the instructions and drop on top of the veggie and chicken mixture. Bake according to the package's suggested temperature until the biscuits are browned and the casserole is bubbly. Serve with the artichoke hearts that you've seasons with a dash of the hot wing sauce.

Gosh there's lots of creative people out there. I was going to suggest a vegetarian stew. Cook the macaroni. When it's done, drain and place back in the pan. Add the chickpeas (drained) the diced tomatoes, the black beans (drained) , and the tomato sauce in the fridge. Season with what ever you prefer. I'd probably use garlic, pepper, and thyme. There's probably enough salt in the beans that you won't need to add any. Heat everything up and enjoy! The pasta and the beans combine to create a complete protein.

Hi,

I would take the chicken chunks, chick peas, carrots and garlic and put them in a pot to boil. Add celery salt, basil and salt and pepper if you have them. Follow the directions on the Bisquick box for dumplings and drop the dumplings on the "stew" after it has boiled. Directions for cooking them should be on the box, if not...look on the web for dumpling recipes at Bisquick.com. You didn't mention if you have milk, which is what the recipe calls for when making your dumplings. If you don't, mix your dough with water. It won't be as fluffy, but it will work in a pinch. You will have a nice, hearty dinner...good for cold nights. PS..you could add some of the ham chunks to spice it up a little or even the artichokes might make it interesting. Don't be afraid to experiment, you might discover a great new dish!!

Sweetie, you do not have to use all the ingredients to make a meal. There are a few things, that might seem appealing,or they do to me anyway.
Black beans and rice
1 can black beans
1-2 cups rice(depends on how many your cooking for)
Cilantro(or any herbs and spices you enjoy)
salt and pepper
1/2 cup salsa(per serving)

Heat drain about half the liquid of your black beans, and put them in a pan to heat them through.Cook your rice, until tender.Drain.Add cilantro, some salt, and pepper and any other herbs you wish.Fluff with a fork, and plate your rice.Top with black beans, and a little salsa on the side.Yum.

Using the pasta-
I actually eat this, quite often so i know it is delicious.
Macaroni and tomatoes
1-2 cups pasta(again, depending on how many your cooking for,you can adjust)
1 can of peels whole tomatoes(you may want to use both depending on how much you need to make)
salt,and pepper.
Heck, even drag out the tomato sauce, from the fridge.Dont waste anything!
Boil macaroni, until tender.Drain, place back in the same pot.Add whole tomatoes(you will need to break these up),some herbs if you desire, salt and pepper to taste.Throw in your tomato sauce.Stir about until well mixed, and let it boil together.yum! this is really good.

You could use the rice for this also.
1-2 cups of rice(depending on how many you are cooking for)
Chicken(optional)
1 can tomatoes,diced
Herbs of your choice, maybe some parsley or basil (if you have it,it isnt necessary but can be used for extra flavor)
Spices, maybe some garlic powder(fresh garlic may be a little too much for this)If you are using fresh garlic sautee it in some olive oil and then add your tomatoes, etc etc.Other spices salt, pepper, onion powder or simply throw in anything you have.
Cook rice,until tender,and drain.Add herbs,and fluff with a fork,then set aside.Open tomatoes and toss into a pot..(Optional) Drain chicken,toss into tomatoes.Add salt,pepper,garlic powder,onion powder,and chili powder.Heat through,and serve over rice.

These are just a few recipes that i got out of that. You may not want to make a big batch of one.Just enough for you,and ever how many you have to cook for. Then you can have something new tomorrow,if you are still unable to get to the store. You want something filling, and something that will not leave you wanting something else. This is absolutely a decent amount of ingredients to go on.Just use your imagination!!You may just invent a new family favorite!!Good luck hun,and have a good night!!

Make a big Chili use the: 28 ox can tomatoes, all the beans (pork'n and black) add the can of Hormel chili too. Do you have onions and garlic? Chop them up and sweat in some olive oil before you start adding all the cans. Use more cumin and chili powder, cilantro to make it spicy.

You can have the chili on the macaroni - in Texas we call it Chili Mac - we usually top it with grated cheese.
