All I have now is 'Toprol'(B.P. meds)would it be safe to take it with an over the counter sleep aide tonight?

Yes, taking an OTC sleep aid with diphenhydramine (the most common) would be fine with Toprol. I wouldn't recommend the Tylenol or Motrin product unless you have some pain as they contain non-sleep ingredients (acetaminophen and ibuprofen respectively). Feel free to call the pharmacy on the label of your Toprol bottle for more information. Have a good night.

It could make your blood pressure go up.That's why they warn you not to take some over the counter drugs with your BP meds. If you cant sleep,read a good book.One night without your Lorazapam may be uncomfortable but you can make it through.

its only one night
you have to know if over the counter meds will go ok with
the Toprol
id rather take the chance of reading a good book in bed and not trying something that could harm you
