Ok so i met this guy onnline, i have seen him and have talked to him for a few months now.Last month he asked me to be his gf,i said no.But we continued to talk to eachother.Before i met him he had broken up w/ his girlfriend.he said he was depressed because he didnt have a gf.I think hes on the rebound.After i said i would not be his gf i few days after he asked me again and i again said no.So me and my buds decided to get rid of him once and for all.We made up an imaginary bf(Ian Ebbs..lol) and got onnline to tell the "nerd"(thats his nickname) that i had fallen in love with Ian.Well long story short the nerd got sad and might be depressed but idk.I feel sorry for him now what should i do?????

First off you need to be his friend. Second you could help hook him up with someone you are familiar with. At least. In a non aggressive slow way. Just mention it to someone. Quick sentence. You couldn't even just say it when the other person is walking near you in the hallway. Then say you'll meet the "Nerd" someplace you know she will be at.
You don't have to be so ruff. Just slowly degrade the time spent with him until it becomes zero. He won't even notice. Need to spread this over a long period of time or else it will be noticed.
So nice hearing about heart less girls ripping out another guys heart. Don't worry hun when you get older and most men go out with you just for sex. You'll wish you never did that. LOL

well, ok the making up a bf thing, kinda mean, but then again, not unheard of, girls do it all the time. first thing first, you have to ask yourself, did you do anything to hint to him that he might like you? sometimes guys misread signals and misunderstand things. i gauruntee you 99% of men in the world have mistakenly thought that atleat one girl liked them who didnt.
who knows, maybe hes in love with you, and speaking from advice as a guy, a guy who loves you will treat you better then any other guy. be nice to him, and break it gently, if hes that depressed you have to make sure he wont do something stupid.
but yeah, you need to be straight forward and honest with him, tell him you dont want to be friends anymore, and if you do, and he sticks around, then hes stalking you. if you tell him you dont want him around and he doesnt leave, then well, call the cops. if you want him to be your friend but not your boyfriend youve got to be straight with him and tell him you dont have those feelings for him. or if your playing the whole back up boyfriend game with his head. leave him alone, thats just mean. no guy likes that.

he does sound like he was on the rebound.u did good. i would probably do the same thing. make up a name. just tell him to let some time pass so he can get over his girl friend. tell him he is a good guy and that another girl will come along one day. a girl that is right for him.

wow this is hard, but i guess just tell him you want to be friends and thats it. continue talking with him for a little while to make sure he is alright then slowly stop.
