are you guys forgetting obiediance to the lord and savior? if you believe the bible as the word of god, he is commanding you to perform his will. such as:
"Suppose a man has a stubborn, rebellious son who will not obey his father or mother, even though they discipline him. In such cases, the father and mother must take the son before the leaders of the town. They must declare: 'This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious and refuses to obey. He is a worthless drunkard.' Then all the men of the town must stone him to death. In this way, you will cleanse this evil from among you, and all Israel will hear about it and be afraid."

No one likes to be told what to think. But the vast majority of us get told what to do all the time, everyday in many ways. You do stop at the red light, right? Then you did as you were told. Do we always like the rules, no. When the rules are ridiculous, they must be changed. However, no one can tell you what to think, the brain isn't wired that way. Bidden or unbidden, your brain will go where it wants to.

Faithful people don't need to be told what to think and do.
"realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious..."

You know, I am pretty sure that there is not one person on this forum, myself included, whose thoughts and actions are 100%, 24/7 generated solely from withinn themselves. We all to some extent take our cues from those around us. It's called socialization.

I assume that your inferring to the fact that you believe that anybody who has a faith and practices it is a "sheep", and that you believe that as "sheep" we all rejoice in being told what to think and do.
That being said, just because you have and practice a faith that does not mean that you stop being human. Many people do not enjoy being told what to think or do regardless of their religious beliefs.

If you're talking about being told what to do according to God, then yes. We are not told what to think. We can only be influenced and then we decide from there on in.

Chuck Colson, convicted Nixon aid, is currently in prison ministries. he said one of his jobs for nixon was to persuade the christian community to come on board with their policies. he said it was heartbreaking how easily led they were. they love authority and being told what to do.
