Frozen food is better tasting and in many cases such as vegetables they are better for you nutritionally .

Frozen food should taste and look better because of the extreme cooking that canned foods go through- and that is true.
Some frozen vegetables like Asparagus and Peas are extremely close to fresh.
Tomatoes are a great canned food-in many forms sliced, diced, concentrates, juice.

You have to experiment to see what you like best. My favorite canned green beans are Allens, I like a lot of Margret Holmes canned veggies. Some stuff it matters, others don't (to me). I like the LaSuer english peas, but maybe because that's what mom used. Frozen stuff, I like Green Giant brand, but look at the cut, esp. broccoli, you want to make sure you don't end up with just stems! Sometimes, for some things store brands are very good and much less expensive. I have never tried any of the Stoffer's frozen casseroles that weren't good!

Tomatoes are great canned...because they are canned at their peak ripeness also they are the only veg table that I recommend canned. Any frozen veggies are great and still full of all the nutrition as the fresh.
