All of the canned formulas are being recalled, the dry is fine though. Same with Eukanuba, Nutro MAX, Natural Choice, and over 40 other brands.
I took some Natural Choice back to Petsmart today because of the recall and they gave me a discount on the new cans (they recommended Pro Plan). They will take it back even if you do not have a receipt, but they will only do exchanges without it.

NONE. None of the dry food has been recalled. So far, many different brands of dog food have been recalled and/or pulled from shelves that are canned or pouch foods. I don't think there is an official word out yet as to the exact cause or source of the problem, but it affects at least forty different brands of CANNED or MOIST food. Iams CANNED and POUCH foods were pulled at my local PetSmart and they had lists of the skew numbers that were affected. Your retailer where you bought your dog food should be able to tell you whether your brand has been affected or not. I know that no dry dog food including Iam's was on the list today. Science Diet, some of its canned CAT and KITTEN formulas, particularly Savory Cuts types with gravy were pulled from my store. This wasn't on the foodmenu list.

All the cat and dog canned and pouch foods. There are certain skews and their brands are listed with the skew numbers affected at their site OR you can get this info from the retailer where you bought your food. If they can't tell you, I'd have to question whether I'd want to shop there anymore. I know that PetSmart immediately posted the skews and brand types and pulled them from their shelves before opening today as well as informing pet parents of the affected foods. Complete list.
You could call one of their stores if your store cannot help you, at least to find out what was pulled.
I know that many foods that were recalled from many prominent brands had a lot of brands with GRAVY that were involved.
I know that there is no recall on dry foods. So if your dog eats dry food that should be safe.

All of the canned and the wet food in pouches. For both Dogs and Cats. The dry food is fine but I was at my local feed store today and people were returning everything that said Iams on it. I dont blame them this is scary!
NUTRO has very few recalls. Scienc Diet has a few too in their cat food line.

Click on the link under the Yahoo article- and then it has a big list and you choose by company name- I just checked it out.
But what are you doing feeding your dog Iams in the begining?
I use Nutro Natural Choice but mine wasnt on the list- it seems like its mostly cans and really small bags that have been effected.

yes, mostly all of them are being recalled.
I would suggest you don't feed anything related to iams to your dog at all, just to be safe.
My aunts golden retriever was one of the dogs that had kidney failure due to the food.
Believe me the last thing you want to be doing is deciding weather to put your dog to sleep at 3 in the morning!
