You can take a Cunard ship, Queen Mary 2 from Southampton to NY in six (6) days. Other cruises with other cruise lines and from different locations and with different itineraries can last longer.

5 days at sea. Not many companies doing it these days! I am a UK based cruise specialist so would be happy to give you a discount. However, it is much, much more expensive than flying...
