Here's a couple, and use them with a smile on your face, Gothic or not, when you make the "delivery" : "Is the Pope, Catholic"?
"Do bears defecate in the woods"?
People often have no regard for what comes out of their mouths. By answering their hopelessly idiotic question with one of your own, and, with a disarming smile to go along with it; you will make them blush at their stupidity and your question will be left unanswered, because yours is answered in the asking and is the obvious reply to theirs! It works everytime!

if you are gothic, then say something like ' are you a human?'
if you aren't gothic then say something like 'are you a cow or an alien?'
