Nope that can happen. I went to the opticians every six months and each time i had to have stronger lenses. This went on for years. I am hoping that they have finally settled down now.

I watch discovery health channel all the time and I have learned according to a study by Dr. Know that starring at a computer screen even all day will NOT damage your eyes. So that shouldn't be that cause of your troubles.

It is possible to have your eyesight deteriorate quickly. Since you are concerned, I suggest that you consider going in to see your optometrist and have them examine you for any problems. If nothing else they should be able to help dispel any worries you may have. Staring at a computer screen does not make your eyes worse. What it does do is strain the small muscles behind your eyes. When you stop looking at something so close, (like the computer screen) your eye muscles relax after holding the same position for a while. They will refocus on their own but you might need to take Ibuprofen or Aleve to relieve the headache!

No, staring at a computer screen may cause fatigue but it has no effect on whether you develop a need for a prescription. Rather the other way around. Because you can't see in the distance you opt for activities that allow you to see comfortably. Which include television, computer, video games, reading and board games.
Eye change happens quite slowly, unless there is an underlying health issue. It only seems to happen rapidly because the initial loss of vision is so slight that we make adjustments for it, squinting and the like. When it is finally to the point that you need a corrective lens you panic, thinking that it has just happened over night. In reality it may have taken several years.

I am afraid it is quite normal. It is not due to the way you use your eyes, myopia, short sightedness just develops that way. It happened to me between 17 + 18 years and at that time computers were not invented!

We can likewise dependably do exercises. There are exercises, for example, rolling your eyeball to form an undetectable square that are constantly recommended by the doctors to improve one's vision. I don't think about rapidly as there is no quick approach to reach one's objective.
Vegetarians can help to improve one's vision. I accept it in light of the fact that I am a vegetarian and my eye short-sightedness power remains the same without any increase after around 2 years. The doctor was stunned in light of the fact that teenagers at my years will normally have a most increase since we are continually staring at the TV, playing computers furthermore reading. I don't know whether it is completely true or not yet it does influence a bit on the result.
At any rate i propose to check the connection that i posted :) It worked for me
