My best friend's boyfriend dumped her today - over MYSPACE!!! They've been together for 8 months and he was her earth and sky. His excuse was that they don't see each other enough - which is his fault cause he never organizes anything and they go to different schools. They're both 16.
What can I say to him to make him understand what he's done to her? What can I say to console her?

i seriously can't even BELIEVE these IDIOTS that are out there
he obviously was never even worth her time in the first place
have a emergency girls night with her, you, and some other friends. go to a restaurant with cute servers. make her look gorgeous and keep her laughing the whole time. then go home, bust out the ben&jerry's, let her cry first, then complain about it ending, then get mad cause it ended, then trash-talk him until 6 am.
how old did you say she was again? get her drunk ;-)

Ooook, so this guy dumped her over myspace? How pathetic. This girl you are talking about should laugh at this kid and until he gets a frikkin' life and grows enough balls to break up with someone personally.
I'm 20 years old, but I have never in my life dumped someone over myspace. The worst I've ever done would be writing it in a letter, and that's not even that bad.
Just tell her to get over it. 8 months is nothing.

Hope this helps :) That's a really crummy thing to do, especially if it's his fault. MySpace, god. He could have at least had the dignity to say it in person or on the phone.
To him: something like "Hey, do you know how much *friend's name* likes you? Do you know how important you are to her? And you went and broke her heart, over MySpace nonetheless. At least have the courtesy to break up in person." If you really hate him now, you can add the last sentence to be mean.
To her: take her out and buy her a lot of chocolate. We girls like that :). Tell her... maybe that he was an insufficient boyfriend and someone like that doesn't deserve her? But still get chocolate :)

You can just be there for your best friend. I can tell your a good friend, and your concerned about her, guys' usualy don't break up because of seeing each other often enough, I think he's lost interest in her and gained interest in someone else. Take your friend out, I don't know how old you guys' are, but when I was young I used to love going roller skating and bowling, and you meet lots' of different people just by getting out!

if you were five years older i could legally say take her out and get her drunk and let her pick up some cute guy, or girl. Thats what id do for my friends. It doesnt sound like they had much of a relationship, at least nothing compared to a real adult relationship, so its no big deal, just a learning experience, she'll be over it soon enough just let her cry on your shoulder and agree that the guy was a jerk.

just hold her hand (heh not in a passionate way, just to let know that your there for her) and tell her that you're her shoulder to cry on when she needs it. and uh..that her ex's a jerk for dumping her on myspace instead face to face. if he loved her, he would have done that.

You dont say anything to your friends ex boyfriend...
heres why...when they kiss and make up tomorrow, she is going to be upset with you because of whatever you say to him today...trust me on that one...
Just be there for her...let her know how special she is, and how grateful she should be that she found out today instead of wasting anymore of her time with him....when/if she starts bashing him....just agree but dont add anything new.....

you can tell him he is an idiot for breaking up with her over myspace.he was finding an easy way out,which is the WORST excuse from a guy.tell your friend she will find another guy.and say her ex is a dumbass for doing that to her.

I am not really sure what you can say to him but you should remind her there are more fish in the sea. Remind her of his bad qualities and try to get her interested in other guys so that she can forget about him.
