A bit harsh, don'tcha think?

Is God answering bomb prayers? Mr. Earl responded to one of my questions with this nugget of his faith:

"I was taught in school Pluto is a planet

Why is what I was taught all wrong now

Is that what your science is all about

That, and A-BOMBS

May one strike your city, maybe that'll make you realize what SCIENCE is about."

Ah, sheeit... does this mean we need to call in FEMA again?

♪Well... they often call me Speedo but my real name is Mr. Earl, woo ooh ooh...♪

I think Earl should change his name to "Speedo", personally. Or does the name not quite fit? ;-)

Bill! ~~*Rolls on the floor in fits of laughter*~~ Your poor Aunt Mabel! God's schedule is a torturous one. Did you know that the word "beam" is in Mabel, so perhaps God is only torturing her to save her long enough to torture her again? Hmm.
If there is an Aunt Mabel, my heart goes out to her, truly.

The real question is: Is God answering prayers? Doesn't seem that way, does it?

Of course, if he has a divine plan there's no reason for him to pencil in changes just for me. If my Aunt Mabel has cancer, it's because it's on God's schedule for her to writhe in tumor-induced agony. Probably because Mabel spells Blame if you mix up the letters. So to heck (or hell) with it, no point praying for anything. Or against anything, come to think of it. It's all scripted, so have fun.

This goes out to Mr. Earl, incidentally: Your knowledge of Pluto may need updating, but we all agree that Uranus is still gigantic.

Have no idea what frontier gibberish this man was babbling. He may have been smoking the local shrubbery at the time.
No one prays for bombs to fall on anyone, unless they are evil.
Period. Interesting second line though...Science and knowledge of our world is constantly in a state of flux. We are always learning something new about something old. That' s the beauty of life and science. I think God intended it that way, that we learn what we learn when we are ready to accept it and not before.

Based on the thoughts, actions, and deeds judge for yourself. However base on your information the answer would have to be no.

Does the person making the claim to Christ live by the example of Christ. If not then you can bet they are just giving lip service and not in deed.

Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.

But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.

If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

The Good Person Test.

How will you do? Pass or fail?

Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?

Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?

Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?

See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?

If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.

Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.

The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.
