I have a Boxer, he's just under 5 months old. Recently he has been exposing his penis a little more than what i would consider normal. At first i thought it was just him being an adolescent and "figuring things out," but the past couple days it seems like more than that. It's most of the time when he is walking around or playing its hanging out, when he lays down it seems to go back in. I've had a male dog before and don't recall this happening. Is this something i should worry about, or is it truly just him learning what he has in there?

I should have mentioned i do plan on getting him nuetered, he's scheduled for the 2nd week of April.

I'd have a vet take a look and make sure nothing is wrong. Consider getting him neutered if you don't plan on breeding him.

it could just be cause his ofreskin has not completely developed i would not worry also there coud=ld be a female in heat close by
